The wrestlers that competed were Avery Cummings, Darius Bailey, Scott Miller,  Gavin Moxley, Sam Pistoria, Bronson Rineholt, Ray Simpson, Sam and Aiden Stewart, and Travis Ward.

Friday was when the Varsity and more experienced wrestlers competed.

Freshman Cummings ended the day with a 0-2 record. He faced two wrestlers from Lampeter and East Stroudsburg, and although he lost he lasted all three periods both matches.

¨The Solanco wrestling tournament is home to quite a  high level of competition. I may have gotten knocked out early, but it’s all part of getting better for the postseason,” said Cummings.

Also ending with a 0-2 record were Moxley and Bailey.

Stewart ended with a record of 2-2.

“It was a tough tournament, especially when you have lots of good schools going to compete. But it makes us better as a team as we go through the season,¨ said Bailey who wrestled in a weight class above his normal, 150.

¨It was not that bad of a tournament, it was a good first match for the season to come,¨ said Stewart.

On Saturday, Bronson wrestled again because he moved on from the second day and qualified. He placed fifth in his weight class out of 20 teams
