Top 5 Rollercoasters

Kenzie Perry, reporter

Many of us have been to Hershey Park or Six Flags and know they have some very cool rollercoasters. Well, you probably don’t know that these barely compare to some of the amazing rollercoasters across the country.

Here are five roller coasters that will blow your mind!

The first on the list is  Expedition Everest coming from Disney World. The reason it’s first is it features an interesting story that goes along with the ride.

When you take part in this adventure, you’re seated in a train going up a cold, frozen mountain and exploring to find a yeti.

Coming in second for the coolest and most bizarre track is Twisted Timbers, located in Kings Dominion.

It’s built of wooden structure and metal track to give you a smooth experience. For the first hill, you go down a 109-foot drop into a barrel roll.

Velocicoaster comes in third! This mind-blowing roller coaster is located in Universal in Orlando, Florida.

The coaster goes through a mind-blowing section of dinosaurs and launches you to 70 miles per hour (mph) and goes up to almost 155 feet.

We’re now down to the fourth rollercoaster, and this is one of the coolest floorless coasters, Rougarou found in Sandusky, Ohio

This cool roller coaster has four loops and lasts almost three minutes. It also features a 119-foot vertical loop in the very beginning.

Of course, last but not least is the most terrifying one of all–Fury 325. This crazy coaster is located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Fury 325 features a 325-foot drop and goes 95 mph. The original part of this coaster is that when you go down the 325-foot drop, you get 1.5 seconds of being weightless.
