American Horror Story Season 12 Controversy

American Horror Story (AHS) is a popular show streaming on the FX channel; fans have enjoyed the show since its premiere in 2011.

AHS is a collection of fictional stories that take place in haunted locations that are undercut with social issues or problems going on in the U.S.

Each season features an entirely different storyline, location, and character lineup than the last, but the actors remain relatively the same.

There are some actors who have performed in the majority or all seasons of the show, such as Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, and Denis O’Hare.

There have been guest appearances and new cast members added since the show’s first episode.

Some of the notable guest appearances include Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, and Adam Levine.

Much of the series is based on living individuals and their interactions with the deceased that inhabit the location of the season.

There are currently 11 seasons; in order they are: Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Cult, Apocalypse, 1984, Double Feature, and NYC.

The up-and-coming season 12 is called Delicate, and it will star Kim Kardashian next to Emma Roberts who has starred in five prior seasons.

One of the creators and producers of the show Ryan Murphy decided on Kardashian after he saw her hosting performance on Saturday Night Live. He said he wrote this part specifically for her.

The part is said to be fun, stylish, and ultimately terrifying, which fits the overall theme of the show.

However, many fans of the show have responded with backlash at Murphy’s choice to cast Kardashian. They believe that she does not have the acting ability to portray an AHS character.

Some are even threatening to boycott the season altogether

The biggest concern is the skill and mental strength it takes to be a part of a show like this. Even Peters, a constant actor in the show, had to take a break for two years after dealing with the mental strain season 7, Cult, put on him.

If Kardashian does not have the skill to portray her part the way her cast members portray theirs, then the show as a whole could fall flat.

It is unknown how big her role will be and the amount of screen time she will have, but she will have to dive head-first into whatever role she is given to make sure this season aligns with the high expectations of a dedicated fanbase.
