2 Frozen 2 Flurrious!

Jessica Jones, Reporter

Many were ecstatic over the release of Frozen 2, as they should be. It’s hard to believe, but the first movie came out in 2013, so fans have waited a long time for this sequel. Frozen 2 may just be as good as, or even better than the first.

Frozen 2 earned a 78% on Rotten Tomatoes, 92% of Google users liked it, and the movie earned $750 million within two weeks of the release date. Clearly, this is a movie that you will enjoy, and it’s one hour and 45 minutes of joy.

While many of the characters are returning from Frozen 1, there are a few new characters that appear in the enchanted forest. For example, Lieutenant Destin Mattias (Sterling K. Brown) and the Northuldra leader (Alan Tudyk) are both new characters.

To start Frozen 2, young Anna (Eva Bella) and young Elsa (Mattea Conforti), listen to their parent’s story of the forest, and how many people from Arendelle have been trapped for years. Their parents, Queen Iduna (Evan Rachel Wood) and King Agnarr (Alfred Molina), warned the two girls how no one can enter the forest, and no one can leave.

The movie then jumps to Elsa and Anna grown up, where they were at the end of the first movie. At this time, Elsa starts to hear a call, which she thinks is coming from the forest. She tries to go alone, but Anna, Sven, Christoph, and Olaf decide that she isn’t going alone. Similar in the first movie, they all stay together as a team.

One of my favorite parts of the movie is when Olaf explains the first movie in a nutshell to the people who have been trapped in the forest.

After traveling through the enchanted forest and meeting the two groups, Northuldra and Arendelle, trapped within the forest, Elsa found their parents crashed ship and discovered where their parents were going, and when they needed to go to lift the curse casted upon Arendelle by destroying the bridge. However, if the bridge were to be destroyed, Arendelle would be flooded and ruined.

*Spoiler Alert*

Anna goes to the frozen island and river, called Ahtohallan, and discovers the past, and it turns out that everything their grandfather told them was a lie. Elsa then freezes, similar to how Anna did in the first movie. Anna knew Elsa was in trouble, so with the help of the Earth Giants, they destroyed the bridge which released the curse.

In the end, Arendelle is saved, Anna is crowned the new queen of Arendelle since Elsa realizes she is the Snow Queen and the fifth spirit.

*End of Spoiler*

Both of the Frozen movies, in my opinion, were very impressive films. They both had amazing graphics, the singing is strong and powerful, and there are plenty of funny moments. I would rate the movie a 9/10.

This movie is something younger children will enjoy the movie. When I went to see Frozen 2, I sat next to a little girl and she loved the movie. Frozen 2 is definitely worth your time and will not disappoint.
