COVID-19 has affected the amount of things that people can do safely. So, how about a night in with friends or family–only those in you pandemic bubble, of course! So, without further ad0, here’s the top five comedy movies you have to watch, and who you should watch them with.

White Chicks

Coming out in 2004, this is a great, classic movie. The movie stars two detectives who,  accidentally, end up dressing as two white chicks to save their job. Rated PG-13 this movie is a fantastic, mostly appropriate movie.

This is a good family movie, but it has some adult humor, hence PG-13. Personally, I would suggest watching it with your significant other. Since this movie is funny and not too inappropriate, it is perfect for not creating any awkward moments.

Central Intelligence

Coming out more recently in 2016, this movie is so hysterical. The movie is about someone who was bullied in high school all grown up in the real world as a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) agent. Side note; this is also an exceptional action movie. The movie stars Kevin Hart and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

I would suggest watching this movie by yourself, because even though it’s rated PG-13, it has a lot of gun violence and nudity that may not be appropriate for people younger than 12. I would definitely not watch with a significant other because this movie will make you ugly laugh.

Nine lives

Also coming out in 2016, Nine Lives is the best comedy, family movie, in my opinion. Rated PG, it is great to watch with your little siblings and even grandparents while still enjoying yourself.

The story consists of a man who turns into a cat. Desperately trying to make himself aware of the people around him, he faces the challenges of a cat. This is not an animated movie, so I find it impressive how real they make the cat look.

The Other Woman

The Other Woman came out in 2014. This movie is rated PG-13 and is a wonderful comedy movie. The movie is about women who all have relationships with one guy, and when they find out that this guy is cheating on them, they become a force to be reckoned with.

This movie would be a number one movie to watch with your girlfriends, because it is priceless, but it’s not a good family movie. The number of adult innuendos would be uncomfortable to appreciate with your family. Getting together with your friends at home and having a movie night? This is the best movie on that occasion.

Grown Ups I and II

This movie duo is comical. It came out in 2010 and is rated PG-13. Featuring Adam Sandler, he and his family go camping where he meets up with his friends and decides to stay for the weekend. These movies will make you laugh your butt off.

Like Grown-ups, Grown-ups 2 has the friends and family getting together again in another hectic movie. The first ten minutes of this movie had me cackling already, because it starts off with a moose inside the house and causing all kinds of ruckus. The movie continues with the same theme as Grown-ups as the friends and their kids get together. This movie came out in 2013 and is also rated PG-13.

You can watch these two movies with anyone. They are hilarious!
