You know those things you hear from kids like “Finish him” and “Fatality? Well, those things come from an old video game called Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat is a game where you fight other people who are usually the game itself, but the updated game allows you to fight with others online.  It is filled with combos and fighting techniques, different styles, characters to choose from, and lots of interesting stories.

While the original game is ancient (originally released in October of 1992), the newer, updated version of the game–Mortal Kombat 11 (MK11) came out in March 2019, and it was a good game with lots of action, a good storyline, 29 characters, and it is very detailed.

This year the second part of that game came out, called Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath; it came out May 26.  Aftermath is an expansion pack to MK11.

You can get the game on all kinds of newer consoles and a personal computer (P.C.). You can get it on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft windows.

The expansion adds more characters to the existing 29; now, there are 34 characters, and the newer characters are from different movies and games. The new characters are Joke, Terminator, Robocop, Spawn, and Nightwolf who is actually from the original Mortal Kombat game.

Personally, I think my favorite new character is Nightwolf because first, I have always been an MK fanatic and loved the old ones, but Nightwolf also has better combo attacks and is generally faster than the other new characters.

My least favorite character is Robocop; now, I know what you’re thinking: Robocop is one of the old guys that was awesome in the movies. I agree, but the reason I have to pick him for least favorite is that he’s slow and he does not have many combos.

Aftermath also adds a whole new story to the second part of the first. The first story is 12 chapters and ends with defeating Kronika.

Now, before continuing reading this, I must state that there are SPOILERS to the second part of the game’s story mode, so this is your warning.

Part two of the story is only five chapters, and it starts with Fire God Lui Kang who forged a new timeline after defeating Kronika.

Lui Kang fights Shang Tsung and they end up at this place called Wu Shi Academy, which is actually where Lui Kang, Kung Loa, and Kai trained to become Shaolin monks.

The Aftermath story mode also has more fighting and brutal fights in cut scenes. Aftermath has all of the qualities of a good fighting game and a great story mode.

There are, of course, some things with certain characters that I would change, such as making Robocop and terminator faster and more combos.

If you have never played Mortal Kombat 11 you should start with that story mode first so you understand what is happening and understand the second story mode, It will make it more fun and enjoyable.
