Four Diamonds defines Mini-THON as, “a K-12 opportunity for students to be empowered as leaders in the fight to conquer childhood cancer.”
On Mar. 21, 2026, Kennard-Dale’s Mini-THON Club held an event from 1-9 p.m.. This event was not just any old fundraiser, it required participants to stand the entire time.
Abigail Good, Vice President of Kennard-Dale’s Mini-THON Club, went to the event to make a stand against cancer. When asked about how she thought the event went, Good said, “I think it went really well.”
Many activities were available for the participants at the event. According to Good, there were many activities: Pound (a drumstick Zumba like game), random activities and games, cornhole, magic show, hair wrapping/braiding, face painting, and there was even a DJ to serenade the group during the event. Good said that the activities were fun because, “everyone there was not afraid to participate.”
Good’s favorite activity was pound as, “it was something different.”
In total, Mini-THON raised $8,677.03 through their devoted efforts. This is a big accomplishment for the Mini-THON club because this money raised goes directly to the Four Diamonds, who then use the money to help children with cancer.
This event took lots of time and effort from the Mini-THON club. According to Good, “We [Mini-THON Club] met like twice a week for a month or two.”
Not only did Good attend the meetings, but she and the president of Mini-THON club, Lily Matters, both spent time outside of club meetings to ensure that the event was successful and ran smoothly.
But the Mini-THON Club is not done! They have several planned fundraising opportunities coming up, including selling food at the craft fair, Stop The Clock, selling milkshakes during lunch, and their Spring Fling that takes place on May 9 2026.
If you want to help Mini-THON raise money and change the lives of children, participate in events and donate now! Do it For The Kids!
